Itinerary (subject to change)  
                      
Day 1: Arrive Frankfurt Int’l, Drive to Lauscha to rest and unpack before our Meet-n-Greet Dinner. 

Day 2: Montage Demo/Shopping Spree at GlasTradition with Thomas Müller-Litz. 
Afternoon TOUR OF THE FAMED LAUSCHA FACTORY. Discounted shopping spree!  Dinner at the Burger Stube, which has the best schnitzel and venison in town.

Day 3: Visit Lauscha’s Glass Museum, “Museum für Glas Kunst”, and see one of the most spectacular glass collections in the world. Afternoon hot glass demo with John Zinner, making sculpted red devils. Outdoor Barbeque Special Dinner.

Day 4 : A morning visit to Coburg Castle, winter home of the Duke of Coburg. A spectacular display of ancient glass, as well as an impressive display of historic guns and ancient torture devices! Lovely castle grounds to stroll....After lunch in the “city” we  visit the Summer Palace of the Duke with it’s excellent modern glass collection. On the way home we have a lovely dinner at Gasthof Sonneneck in the nearby village of Theuern.

Day 5: The Eyes Have it! Visit Walter Hellbach’s studio and see the meticulous art of creating glass eyes for human prosthetic use. Ice cream sundaes in the garden with his charming wife Andrea. Then, free time, and an optional walk in the forest. Outdoor dinner and live music at the  Köppleinkirchweih Festival, featuring famed Thüringen sausgage, beer & schnapps. “The best of the wurst!”

Day 6: Christmas Ornament Day! We begin with a demonstration at the studio of Michael Haberland. We all get a chance to blow into a two-part mold, then hand silver and lacquer our own ornament to take home! A stroll through the forest (Thüringen Wald) leads us to the picturesque Bergmannsklause where we share an exquisite outdoor lunch  surrounded by roses. After lunch we spend the afternoon visiting Krebs Glas Creation, the famed Christmas ornament factory.  Then free time and shopping in Lauscha. Dinner at the Festival.

Day 7:  Final fun, shopping and free time before our “Christmas in Summer” Traditional German Christmas Celebration. Meet the Glass Princess, enjoy a visit from Father Christmas, and dine on Roast Goose, Dumplings, Red Cabbage, Vanilla Ice Cream and Raspberry Sauce. A merry conclusion to our fun-filled week.

Day 8: Leave in the wee hours to return to Frankfurt International. And a good time was had by all...
