Don’t be! Pat Frantz gives clear and concise tips on how to succeed and add sparkle to your work. In this video tutorial Pat shows you how to create her lightning tabular, which combines dichroic and goldstone.

One of the things I notice about the way Pat works is that she keeps things relatively cool. This allows her to maintain control over the process.

This is an excerpt from our “Making Dichroic Beads” DVD. In addition to the Lightning Tab, in this DVD she also demonstrates the fabrication of:
A Basic Dichroic Bead
2-Tone Bicone Bead
Patchwork Bead
Twisted Melon Drop Bead
Psychedelic Core Pattern Bead
Multi-Colored Watercolor Bead
Black Cherry Bicone Bead

So if you’d like to learn more on how to have fun with dichro, get the DVD!
BUY THE DVD

A colored glass rod is popped into a small clear tube. They are melted together, and then the dichroic strip is applied on top of the tubing. This protects reactive colors from the heat of the flame so that consistent color is maintained throughout the piece. This little lesson is an excerpt from our very first video, "Teamwork, Technology & Scale". To this day, I still think that this DVD illustrates the largest variety of techniques, as well as letting you get to know the artist himself.

If you would like to purchase the DVD, it's available on Milon's site: www.thebluemoonpress.com or you can get it from me at www.firelady.com.

And so we did!

We engaged Ms. Reghina Allen, a Russian beadmaker residing in the States, to do some translation work for us. Also voiceover.

We recorded a phone conversation where she read the Russian translation of our existing gold fuming tutorial, and then I re-edited the segment, and added some Russian style music in there as well. In addition, she and Lisa are working on another, written tutorial.

So hail, Mother Russia!
And without further ado....listen to it in Russian. It sounds so cool!

It’s so playful and powerful....a real tugboat of a torch. It’s just unstoppable. It’s versatility is legend and you get a lot of bang for the buck. Here’s a short movie that illustrates a few torch settings for some of the more common types of projects.

Truthfully, this torch can make some rather hefty items, and my demonstrators were making more diminutive work. I wish I had some footage that shows it’s large end capabilities. Still, you’ll get some good ideas as to what kind of settings to use on this torch. By the way, it’s preferred line pressures are 5 lb. gas & 20 lb. tanked oxygen. You can get by on two concentrators as well. And like all Bethlehem’s, you shouldn’t be hearing a loud torch hiss. These torches are QUIET when the flame is properly mixed. If you hear major hiss......turn down your oxygen and save yourself some money!

BUY NOW
